Competition 1 (Introduction) WAG/MAG Course

Competition 1 is the first NCCP coaching course included in the Competition Stream for Artistic gymnastics coaches and has replaced the Level 2 WAG/MAG Technical course. Coaches are eligible to attend if they have completed their Gymnastics Foundations Artistic training (GF Intro, GF Theory, GF Artistic) or GF Artistic certification and want to begin coaching pre-competitive or want to learn to coach advanced recreational skills. Coaches must also have completed the GF Trampoline course since inverted skills on a trampoline will be included in the Competition 1 course. This course will focus on skills that are common to Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) and Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG), as well as the specific apparatus for WAG and the Competition-Introduction Theory modules (Nutrition, Basic Mental Skills, Teaching 7 Learning, Designing a Basic Sport Program).
The MAG specific modules (pommel, rings, parallel bars) will be hosted on January 19th, 2020 at Taiso. Go to that date to find the registration form.
