AUGUST NEWS Anderson Loran and Jayd Lukenchuk of Taiso Gymnastics in Saskatoon will be competing for Canada at the Pan Am Gymnastics Championships September 2-5 in Guadalajara Mexico - good luck to both athletes! Loran has also been named to the Commonwealth Games (New Delhi, October 3-14), and Lukenchuk has also been named to the World Gymnastics Championships team (Rotterdam Netherlands, October 12-24). Lukenchuk has competed at World Cup events, but this is the first time at the World Championships. Previous Taiso athletes to attend World Championships include Warren Long, James Rozon, and Rhett Stinson. Congratulations, we are proud of you! TEAM SASKATCHEWAN IS HEADED TO WORLD GYMNAESTRADA The 51 member team has been selected to participate in a prestigious performance in a "National Evening" at the 2011 World Gymnaestrada. Coaches and athletes will begin their preparations to represent their province and country at the 14th World Gymnaestrada in Lausanne, Switzerland in July. Performances will be held throughout the province in the new year, so watch for opportunities to support and cheer on this talented group of gymnasts!
