Team Sask Heading to Finland
Gym Sask is proud to congratulate the Team Sask Gymnaestrada team who have officially been invited to perform in Helsinki, Finland at the FIG 2015 World Gymnaestrada as a member of Team Canada.  Team Sask has been awarded a 15 minute Indoor Performance as well as a spot in the PAGU (Pan American Gymnastics Union) Evening Gala Performance.  A number of Saskatchewan Rythmic Gymnastics clubs will also be performing at outdoor park venues.

The World Gymnaestrada is a world-wide, non-competitive FIG Gymnastics for All event held every 4 years and attracting the largest number of active participants of any FIG event. Participation is for everybody, regardless of gender, age, race, religion, culture, ability or social standing.

AGM and Elections
The first notice for the Gymnastics Saskatchewan Annual General Meeting can be found HERE.  The meeting will be held Saturday, November 1st at the Travelodge in Regina.

There will be elections taking place for three Board of Directors positions - nomination forms and information can be found HERE.  Please circulate these to any prospective candidates.
Anderson Loran Heads to Commonwealth Games
Gymnastics Saskatchewan is proud to announce that Anderson Loran of Saskatoon will be competing at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland this July.

Loran, 23, trains at the Taiso Gymnastics Club with head coach Markos Baikas.  Loran is not new to competition at the Commonwealth Games - at the 2010 event in Delhi he was the top Canadian Men’s finisher winning a Silver medal on High Bar.  He also won silver medals on Floor and High Bar at the recent 2014 Canadian Championships in Ottawa.
Other Team Canada members for the 2014 Commonwealth Games include Nathan Gafuik of Calgary, AB, Kevin Lytwyn of Stoney Creek, ON., Scott Morgan of Vancouver, BC,  and Zachary Clay of Chilliwack, BC.

The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will be held from July 23rd to August 3rd, 2014, and will be the largest ever multi-sport event held on Scottish soil.
